うそをついて

At the moment I am mostly reading books by Paul Ekman. Why? I watched the first and second season of "Lie to Me" and just loved it. Moreover I was fascinated about the skill to see, how people feel and to find out if they lie or not by just looking at them. Although the percentage of right conclusions isn't a 100, I think it is in the 80s or 90s, so pretty high. To learn more about those skills and maybe how to learn them a bit myself, I first looked up, if the series was based on real facts, and found the name Paul Ekman as the scientific advisor, I think. So I looked up some of the work he did and bought a book of him. I have read one book of him so far and I am reading another at the moment. The book I already finished was "Emotions Revealed: Understanding Faces and Emotions", as the title says it concentrates in recognizing emotions. At the moment I am reading "Telling Lies". I read those books in English, since I always think the original text is better than a translation. Both books are really easy too read, even for "normal" people, like me, who aren't experts in this field. So if you are interested in the research of emotions and the detection of lies, I can recommend the books of Paul Ekman. Of course there are other scientists who have done and do research on this topic, but I haven't read any book of them yet, so that I can't give a recommendation.

Im Moment lese ich eigentlich nur Bücher von Paul Ekman. Warum? Ich habe die erste und zweite Staffel von "Lie to Me" gesehen und die Serie einfach geliebt. Weiterhin war ich von der Fähigkeit, das man Leuten die Gefühle ansehen kann und so herausfindet, ob sie lügen, fasziniert. Auch wenn die Trefferchance nicht bei 100 liegt, ist sie im Bereich der 80 oder 90 Prozent, glaube ich, also ziemlich hoch. Um mehr über diese Fähigkeiten zu lernen und sie vielleicht etwas selber zu lernen, habe uch erst überprüft, ob die Serie auf Fakten beruht, und habe Paul Ekman als den wissentschaftlichen Berater, glaube ich, gefunden. Also habe ich nach seiner Arbeit gesucht und ein Buch von ihm gekauft. Bis jetzt habe ich ein Buch von ihm gelesen und lese momentan ein zweites von ihm. Das Buch, welches ich schon gelesen habe, heißt: "Emotions Revealed: Understanding Faces and Emotions", wie der Titel schon sagt, geht es um die Erkennung von Gefühlen. Im Moment lese ich "Telling Lies". Ich lese diese Bücher auf Englisch, da ich finde, dass der Originaltext immer besser ist als eine Übersetzung. Man kann beide Bücher gut lesen, auch als "normale" Person, wie ich, die kein Experte in dem Bereich ist. Also wenn ihr euch für die Erforschung von Gefühlen und die Erkennung von Lügen interessiert, kann ich die Bücher von Paul Ekman nur empfehlen. Natürlich gibt es noch andere Wissenschaftler, die in diesem Thema geforscht haben und noch forschen, aber bis jetzt habe ich noch kein Buch von ihnen gelesen, weshalb ich keine Empfehlungen aussprechen kann.
