Now that I am back in Germany, the question is: What to do?

Well, tonight I am going to apply for a university in Zurich, where I hope to start studying next August.

Until then I am going to look for a job and get my car driver's license.

If something interesting happens or I have something interesting to post, then I will post it...^^

Nun da ich wieder in Deutschland bin, stellt sich die Frage: Was soll ich tun?

Also, heute Abend werde ich mich bei einer Universität in Zürich bewerben, wo ich hoffentlich nächsten August anfangen werde zu studieren.

Bis dahin werde ich nach einem Job suchen und meinen Autoführerschein machen.

Wenn etwas Interessantes passiert oder ich etwas Interessantes zum Schreiben habe, dann werde ich das posten...^^

So for all that didn't know about it. My plans had changed and I am back in Germany since yesterday.

I guess many of you wonder why. I don't really have a reason. I just realized during my trip to Japan, that the everyday life in Japan and Germany are pretty similiar. You get up, go to work, come home and go to bed. Or something like that. Of course I am not saying that Japan and Germany are similar, they're really different, but this routine is quite the same. But I guess it is like that almost everywhere in the world.

Even though my trip ended, I am still going to continue this blog. I am going to post things about Japan, my life in general and everything I want to post. Of course this means I will change the title of this website, but that won't be a problem.

Also, für alle, die es noch nicht wissen. Meine Pläne hatten sich geändert und ich bin seit gestern wieder in Deutschland. Bestimmt fragen sich viele von euch, warum. Ich habe nicht wirklich einen Grund. Ich habe während meiner Reise in Japan nur gemerkt, dass das alltägliche Leben in Japan und Deutschland recht ähnlich ist. Man steht auf, geht zur Arbeit, kommt nach Hause und geht ins Bett. Oder so ähnlich. Natürlich meine ich nicht, dass Japan und Deutschland ähnlich sind, sie sind recht unterschiedlich, aber diese Routine ist in etwa die gleiche. Aber ich gehe mal davon aus, dass es so fast überall auf der Welt ist.

Auch wenn meine Reise zu ende ist, werde ich trotzdem diesen Blog weiterführen. Ich werde Dinge über Japan, mein Leben im Allgemeinen und alles was ich möchte posten. Natürlich bedeutet das, dass ich den Titel dieser Website ändern werde, aber das ist ja kein großes Problem.

So yesterday I was on Odaiba, an artificial island in Tokyo Bay. Odaiba is the home of many shopping complexes, the Fuji Television base, a ferris wheel and the "Japanese Statue of Liberty"(pictures below).

Gesterb war ich auf Odaiba, einer künstlichen Insel in der Bucht von Tokio. In Odaiba gibt es viele Einkaufskomplexe, die Fuji Television Basis, ein Riesenrad und die "Japanische Freiheitsstatue"(Bilder unten).

So I am back in Tokyo since yesterday and today I went on a real touristic trip. First off I went to Tokyo Tower, then to the Sony Building in Ginza, followed by Ueno Park and the National Museum of Nature and Science, which is one of the many museums in Ueno Park, and at last I went to Asakusa-kannon in Asakusa. Of course I took many pictures, so that I will post some below.

I also met some nice people in the hostel today. An American, a German/Swiss and a Swedish man.

So, ich bin seit gestern wieder in Tokio und ich war heute auf einer richtigen Touristentour. Als erstes war ich beim Tokyo Tower, dann beim Sony Gebäude in Ginza, danach ging es zum Ueno Park und dem National Museum für Natur und Wissenschaft, eines der vielen Museen in Ueno Park, and zu letzt ging es dann zum Asakusa-kannon in Asakusa. Natürlich habe ich viele Fotos geschossen, so dass ich ein paar unten posten werde.

Ich habe heute auch ein paar nette Leute im Hostel kennen gelernt. Einen Amerikaner, einen Deutschen/Schweizer und einen Schweden.

学校行事

Today I went to the school festival of the Gunma Prefectural Institute for Agriculture and Forestry, since the man, who I live with at the moment, studied there a few years ago.

There were many stands with a lot of different food and I met some new people.

I took my camera with me this time, but I only took one picture (see below) of some guy making mochi.

Heute bin ich zum Schulfest des Gunma Prefectural Institute of Agriculture and Forestry gegangen, da der Mann, bei dem ich momentan wohne, dort vor ein paar Jahren studiert hat.

Es gab viele Stände mit jeder Menge verschiedener Gerichte und ich habe ein paar neue Leute kennen gelernt.

Ich habe meine Kamera dieses Mal mitgenommen, aber ich habe nur ein Foto (siehe unten) von einem Jungen gemacht, der gerade am mochi machen war.

Since I didn't post pictures or videos in quite some time, I decided to take a ride on a bike through the fields, where I work, here in Maebashi, to take some pictures and film a video. Enjoy!

Da ich schon länger keine Bilder oder Videos gepostet habe, habe ich mich dafür entschieden mit dem Fahrrad durch die Felder, in denen ich arbeite, hier in Maebashi zu fahren, um ein paar Fotos zu schießen und ein Video zu filmen. Viel Spaß!

Hi there. Today was my day off and I went to an onsen at Mt. Haruna. It was really nice and relaxing. Moreover the onsen was close to Lake Haruna and the leaves of the trees around were all red-orange. It was wonderful. Furthermore there was a great view over the valley, in which the farm is, where I work at the moment. Sadly I forgot to take my camera with me, since I didn't take my backpack with me either.

By the way, I got a reply from the company I had the phone interview with and I got an offer. The only thing left now is the confirmation from the Resort, where I might work at from December to the beginning of April. I guess, that are just some formalities, so that I am pretty sure, that I got a job for the next four months...^^

Hallöchen. Heute hatte ich den Tag frei und ich bin zu einem onsen bei Mt. Haruna gefahren. Es war wirklich schön und entspannend. Außerdem war der onsen nahe dem See Haruna und die Blätter der Bäume rund herum waren alle rot-orange. Es war wunderbar. Weiterhin gab es auch noch eine wunderschöne Aussicht über das Tal, in dem der Bauernhof ist, wo ich im Moment arbeite. Leider habe ich vergessen meine Digitalkamera mitzunehmen, da ich auch nicht meinen Rucksack mitgenommen habe.

Übrigens, ich habe eine Antwort von der Firma bekommen, mit der ich das telefonische Vorstellungsgespräch hatte, und habe auch gleich ein Jobangebot bekommen. Das einzige was noch gemacht werden muss ist die Bestätigung des Resorts, wo ich dann von Dezember bis Anfang April arbeiten würde. Ich glaube, dass es einfach nur Formalitäten sind, also bin ich mir ziemlich sicher, dass ich einen Job für die nächsten vier Monate habe...^^

So this evening I experienced my first earthquake. It had a strength of 3, which didn't feel too bad. I was on my bed during the earth quake and it just felt like someone is shaking my bed lightly. I wouldn't even have know that it was an earthquake, if I wouldn't have seen the other furniture shaking, too.

It was interesting to experience an earthquake and I am happy that my first experience was such a light one.

Heute Abend habe ich zum ersten Mal ein Erdbeben erlebt. Es hatte eine Stärke von 3, was sich nicht wirklich schlimm angefühlt hat. Ich war auf meinem Bett während des Erdbebens und es hat sich so angefühlt als würde jemand leicht an meinem Bett rütteln. Ich hätte nicht einmal mitbekommen, dass es ein Erdbeben ist, wenn sich die anderen Möbel im Zimmer nicht auch bewegt hätten.

Es war interessant ein Erdbeben mitzuerleben und ich bin froh, dass es kein all zu starkes Erdbeben war.

Here in Maebashi, I have to do with negi (Japanese for leek) the whole day. Pulling them out of the ground, cleaning them and pack them up. So now my hands always smell like leek at the end of the day...^^

But that is all okay, since I live with some really nice people.

Hier in Maebashi habe ich den ganzen Tag mit negi (Japanisch für Lauch) zu tun. Ihn aus dem Boden ziehen, ihn reinigen und ihn einpacken. Deshalb riechen meine Hände am Ende des Tages immer nach Lauch...^^

Aber das ist alles in Ordnung, da ich mit wirklich netten Leuten zusammenlebe.
