I planned to write today about my trip to Amsterdam, where I was yesterday, but then I read about the big earthquake in Japan, so now this is my topic and I will write the other stuff later.
The earthquake occured at 2:46 p.m. and had a magnitude of 7.9-8.9 (always depending on the newspaper).
There were a couple of aftershocks and tsunamis hitting Japan.

Ich hatte vor heute über die Amsterdamfahrt von gestern zu schreiben, aber dann habe ich vom großen Erdbeben in Japan gehört, so dass ich jetzt darüber schreibe und ich das andere nach hinten verschiebe.
Das Erdbeben ereignete sich um 14:46 Uhr und hatte eine Stärke von 7.9-8.9 (je nach Zeitung). Es gab einige Nachbeben und auch Tsunamis trafen Japan.
Die Beben haben auch Tokyo getroffen und einige Feuer entfacht, wodurch viele Leute verletzt wurden.
