AFS

I spent last weekend from Thursday until Sunday on an AFS event. I went there a bit spontaneous, but it was a lot of fun, as it always is.

AFS is an non-profit exchange program organisation for students. I went to the US during my eleventh school year with them and since them I helped the local committee on a voluntary base. It is a great way to learn about the different cultures in the world, since you get to know exchange student from different countries of the world.

So, if you are interested in different cultures of the world, or want to become a host family for an exchange student, google for AFS or find a local committee near you.

It's worth it.

Letztes Wochenende war ich von Donnerstag bis Sonntag bei einer AFS-Veranstaltung. Es war zwar eine spontane Entscheidung dort hinzugehen, aber wie immer sehr nett und lustig.

AFS ist eine gemeinnützige Austauschorganisation für Schüler. Ich bin in meinem elften Schuljahr mit AFS in den USA gewesen und seit dem helfe ich in meinem lokalen Komitee auf freiwilliger Basus. Es ist eine tolle Möglichkeit, etwas über die Kulturen der Welt zu erfahren, da man Austauschschüler aus verschiedenen Ländern kennen lernt.

Wenn ihr euch also für verschiedene Kulturen interessiert, oder selber eine Gastfamilie für einen Austauschschüler werden möchtet, dann googlet AFS oder sucht nach einem lokalen Komitee.

Es ist es wert.
