I just got the "Handbook for Newcomers, Migrants and Immigrants to Japan", which I ordered a couple of days ago. So far I have only read the first chapter, but as far as I can tell, it has a lot of good information and gives you links, where you can find more information to a topic.
Especially I like that the book is in English on the left page and in Japanese on right, so that you can easily see, what the important terms are in Japanese (most of them are shown on the English page in Japanese, too).
As far as I can say at this point, the book definitely is a help to get to know all the things you have to do to go to Japan for a longer time or the rest of your life (as I plan to do).
So now the time just has to come, when I'll be able to go...^^

Ich habe gerade das "Handbook for Newcomers, Migrants and Immigrants to Japan" bekommen, welches ich vor ein paar Tagen bestellt habe. Bis jetzt habe ich nur das erste Kapitel gelesen, aber was ich bis jetzt schon sagen kann ist, dass es eine Menge gute Informationen enthält und auch Links aufzeigt, wo man weitere Informationen zu einem Thema finden kann.
Was ich besonders an diesem Buch mag ist, dass die linke Seite auf English ist und die rechte Seite auf Japanisch, so dass man leicht sehen kann, wie wichtige Begriffe auf Japanisch heißen (die meisten Begriffe werden auch auf der englischen Seite nochmals auf Japanisch genannt).
Soweit ich es zu diesem Zeitpunkt sagen kann, hilft dieses Buch sicherlich, um zu wissen, was man alles machen muss, um für längere Zeit oder für den Rest seines Lebens nach Japan zu gehen (so wie ich es plane zu tun).
Jetzt muss nur der Zeitpunkt kommen, an dem ich gehen kann...^^
