裸足

I just saw a documentary about a man walking bare foot for four years. That made me wonder: Why shouldn't I try that for some time? I am already bare foot when I am at home in the house and during the summer outside, too. So maybe I should try to go bare foot more often. Of course there will be some exceptions: I mean, I won't go bare foot to work, since I am afraid, I would get fired for that, which I would understand...^^
But I will definitely try it in my free time. Maybe just a bit during the cold season, since I have to get used to it, but more, when it gets warmer. I just heard, that it is easier to start walking bare foot all the time, if you start during the summer. Maybe I should start then...
We'll see how that goes...^^

漢字

For everyone who is learning Japanese or trying to: The most annoying thing is learning the kanji, which you need to be able to read and write properly in Japanese. At least it is for me.
At the moment I know/should know 130 kanji and a few, which you learn as you learn Japanese, since you see them frequently. And those few are already kinda annoying, since you really just have to memorize them, at least in the beginning. Now the encouraging part: You need to know about 1500 to 2000 kanji to read a regular daily newspaper. So only 1870 more kanji to go... -.-
Well, I will still keep learning Japanese, since for me the most important thing is talking. Reading and writing comes afterwards. So for everyone out there learning Japanese: 頑張って!(Good Luck!/ Fight on!)

A quick side note: I will try to post more frequently, but sometimes there is just nothing to write about and sometimes I just don't want to post...^^"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last night, while the router didn't work and I couldn't use the Internet, I realized how much our society relies on the Internet. Using social networks, playing games or just surfing the web.
Of course I am not excluded from this "addiction". I use Facebook to stay in contact with friends overseas, play WoW and of course write this blog (from time to time). Even though it isn't essential. Sure, the web is helpful to get information and to stay in contact with people far away. But there is also a lot of unnecessary things in the web and for which the web is used, probably including this blog...^^
I'd be happy, if I would be able to not depend as much on the Internet as I do, but sadly I can't do so easily. Could you?
I mean, would you be able to live a week without the Internet, maybe even without a computer at all? If a week is too long at least try a few days and you will see how much you really depend on the Internet.
Have fun with the experiment (I will/should try it too, at least for a day or two.)
--------------------------------

Hi everyone. Long time no see. There wasn't much happening, so there weren't any posts. Just for an update: I found a job at a gas station until I hopefully start studying in August. I still haven't heard anything from the university in Zurich, so I guess, I will call them tomorrow to find out how the application is going or if they even got the stuff, I sent them. That's all for now.
