前橋

Sunday I will go to another "employer" from work away (link on the left). This time the trip goes to Maebashi in Gunma prefecture. There I will help with a project. I guess it will be a good opportunity to improve my Japanese, since the man, at whose house I will stay, can't really speak English. Moreover his daughter, who speaks English and German, will leave on November 2 to go to Berlin, so I really will have to use a mix of English, Japanese and gesture to communicate. But until then I will stay in Tokyo.

Furthermore I am still waiting for a response from the company.

Sonntag werde ich zu einem anderen "Arbeitgeber" von work away (Link auf der linken Seite). Dieses Mal fahre ich nach Maebashi in Gunma Präfektur. Dort werde ich mit einem Projekt helfen. Es wird sicherlich eine gute Möglichkeit sein, um mein Japanisch zu verbessern, da der Mann, in dessen Haus ich wohnen werde, nicht wirklich Englisch sprechen kann. Außerdem fährt seine Tochter, die Englisch und Deutsch spricht, am 2. November nach Berlin, so dass ich wirklich nur mit einem Mix aus Englisch, Japanisch und Gesten kommunizieren kann. Aber bis dahin werde ich in Tokyo bleiben.

Weiterhin warte ich immer noch auf eine Antwort von der Firma.

後ろへ東京

My time in Shizuoka is over and I will go back to Tokyo either next Tuesday or Wednesday. This time I will take a bus, since it is cheaper and another experience...^^

I still wait for a response from the company, I had the phone interview with. I hope I will get one soon. But I can also start looking for another job in Tokyo, since there is the organisation, which could help me find a job (Foreigners' Employment Service Center).

Meine Zeit in Shizuoka ist vorbei und ich werde entweder nächsten Dienstag oder Mittwoch zurück nach Tokyo fahren. Dieses Mal werde ich den Bus nehmen, da es günstiger ist und eine andere Erfahrung...^^

Ich warte immer noch auf eine Antwort von der Firma, mit der ich das telefonische Vorstellungsgespräch hatte. Ich hoffe, dass ich bald eine Antwort bekomme. Aber ich kann wieder anfangen nach einem anderen Job zu gucken, wenn ich in Tokyo bin, da dort die Organisation ist, die mir helfen kann einen job zu finden (Foreigners' Employment Service Center).

At the moment nothing really happens. I am here in Shizuoka, helping with some work and waiting for a reply from the company, I had the phone interview with. So sadly I am not able to write something interesting right now. When I get an answer or if something interesting happens, I'll make a post.

But one thing I noticed. The Japanese mosquitos must really like foreigners' blood or just mine, since I've never had as many mosquito bites as I got since I am in Japan.

Momentan passiert nicht wirklich viel. Ich bin hier in Shizuoka, helfe mit etwas Arbeit und warte auf eine Antwort von der Firma, mit der ich das telefonische Vorstellungsgespräch hatte. Also kann ich im Moment nichts Interessantes schreiben. Wenn ich eine Antwort bekomme oder falls etwas Interessantes pasiert, dann schreibe ich einen post.

Aber eine Sache ist mir augefallen. Japanische Mücken müssen wirklich ausländisches Blut mögen oder nur meins, da ich noch nie so viele Mückenstiche hatte, wie ich sie habe seitdem ich in Japan bin.

電話で面接

Tonight I have another interview for a job. This time through the phone. They call between 9 and 10 pm (Japanese time). But I don't know if I get the result directly or if I have to wait for it. We'll see...

Heute Abend habe ich wieder ein Vorstellungsgespräch. Dieses Mal übers Telefon. Die Firma ruft zwischen 21 und 22 Uhr an (japanische Zeit). Aber ich weiß nicht, ob ich sofort das Ergebnis erfahren werde oder ob ich warten muss. Wir werden es sehen...

新幹線

I took the Shinkansen, when I came here to Omaezaki. Sadly it was the slowest kind of Shinkansen, but I still filmed it coming into Tokyo station. I wasn't able to film, when they turned the seats around, but it was interesting to see. That's right, they just leave the train car as it is and only spin the seats around. So that it could drive into the opposite direction and the passangers are still able to sit in the driving direction. They should use that in Germany, too. It would save a lot of time. Als ich hier nach Omaezaki gekommen bin, bin ich mit dem Shinkansen gefahren. Leider war es die langsamste Art des Shinkansen, aber ich habe trotzdem gefilmt, wie er in den Tokioter Bahnhof einfährt. Ich konnte nicht filmen, wie sie die Sitze gedreht haben, aber es war interessant zu sehen. Ihr habt richtig gehört, die Zugwagen blieben einfach stehen und haben die Sitze gedreht, damit der Zug in die andere Richtung zurückfahren kann und die Passagiere trotzdem in Fahrtrichtung sitzen. Das sollte auch in Deutschland benutzt werden. Das würde viel Zeit sparen. Das Video ist unten. Viel Spaß!
